SA-MP

The San Andreas Metropolitan Police Department, or the SAPD (SA:MP), was founded in the year 2007 following the recent expansion of the Argonath Community.
The first of the Chiefs who would lead what was to become the biggest law-enforcement sector in the United States of Argonath was the legendary Luca Scalise. Chief Scalise was instrumental in uniting the different sectors of SAPD into one powerful police department, and his work laid the foundations that the future leaders of SAPD would build upon as the mighty department continued to expand over the passage of time.
Regrettably however, Chief Scalise's view differed from the vision for SAPD that was possessed by the Heads of State, as well as being responsible for an unfortunate incident that landed the SAPD into conflict with the newly formed Federal Bureau of Investigation. Thus, Chief Scalise resigned from the position, acknowledging the shortcomings he made in spite of his achievements. He soon disappeared afterwards, marking the end of an era passing into Argonath's History.
The next officer to hold the title of the SAPD Chief (SA:MP) was none other than the renowned Nicholas Angel ([R*]Trix), who was soon joined by another alongside him, Chief Hank Rafferty (Vice911). This era of the SAPD also saw the formation of the SAPD's SWAT under the direct leadership of the SWAT Chief CBFasi (Celeborn), with the famed and notorious Field Commander James Hunter serving alongside him.
For the second time and also during the summer of 2008, SAPD experienced the loss of a leader once again as Chief Nicholas Angel resigned his position, leaving the SAPD in the capable hands of Chief Hank Rafferty as it transitioned into yet another era of Argonath.

Chief Rafferty bravely took up the challenge and plunged into the void left by Chief Angel, exerting his best efforts to carry the SAPD into glory and success, as well as becoming one of the longest-serving mentors and leaders in the SAPD.
After around a year of dedicated service, Chief Rafferty retired from service in early 2009, taking up the rank of Police Lieutenant and leaving the SAPD's leadership to his newly appointed successors; Chief Pancher and Chief CBFasi. At this time, the SAPD was still a single Department, as it had always been since Chief Scalise united the different Police Departments under his control in 2007.
Later in 2009, the SAPD Command began the necessary developments to split the SAPD into three sub-departments; the Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) led by Police Captain Vince, the San Fierro Police Department under Police Captain Kitsune (later succeeded by Police Captain Thomas Croft), and the Dilimore Police Department spearheaded by Sheriff / Captain Jcstodds. The new system was a success, bringing new light into the SAPD and heralding yet another era of expansion for the already extensive Police Department.
By the summer of 2011, Chief CBFasi retired from the position of SAPD Chief. However, this was because of an even greater accomplishment; his appointment by the President Gandalf as the Second Police Commissioner of the ARPD. This event was welcomed by many, since this meant the rise of a figure who had the capability to bring balance to the different scattered Police Departments and FBI Divisions around the United States of Argonath. He was to offer his dedicated service to the entire ARPD until his resignation later in the year for personal reasons, after leaving a legacy that could be rivaled by few.
Shortly afterwards, Hank Rafferty took up the responsibilties of SAPD Chief once again, leading the SAPD alongside Chief Pancher during 2011 and onwards. The two Chiefs hoped to expand the SAPD's sub-departments, and this led to the official opening of the Las Venturas Police Department in July 2011, under its newly appointed leader; Police Captain Leroy Hudson.
In April 2011, the SAPD experienced the biggest loss of its command staff to date; the entire SAPD Upper Command (comprised of Chief Hank Rafferty, Chief Pancher, and Deputy Chief Vince) announced their resignations, leaving only two Police Captains in charge of the entire Department's affairs.
However, not all hope was lost as the outgoing Chief Pancher announced the rise of no other but the latest in the lineage of Police Chiefs; Chief Leroy Hudson, who was to oversee the reconstruction until his eventual resignation. Immediately following, the construction of SAPD began anew, spearheaded by the new Chief with the assistance of his newly appointed Command Staff.
As of today, the SAPD still stands, ready to serve and protect the citizens of Argonath as it has in years past. Spearheading the department today are none other than SAPD Chief Pancher and SAPD Deputy Chief Paul Caltson.
